We offer a part-time working experience in a community service project. You can combine a Spanish language program with volunteer work. We offer you the opportunity to delve into our country on a deeper level than most tourists will ever experience.

Why AIE - Volunteers Program?

- To help others and make a difference in someone else’s life: lending a hand to people who are working to improve life in their communities.

- To gain a better understanding of our culture and perspective: daily work and interactions with members of the host community, a better understanding of the issues that affect that part of the world, helping them carry out their objectives.

- To learn a lot about yourself and gain valuable life experiences and skills, as you take on the challenge of working in a new culture and environment.

- To built bridges of mutual respect and understanding. Remember that you can play the role of a motivator, just by having come from so far away to lend a hand and exchange ideas.

- To make new friends, meeting local people: volunteering brings together a variety of people. Both the recipients of your volunteer efforts and your co-workers can be rich sources of insight.

AIE - Volunteers Program in different spheres of vocational activities including:
- Promoting healthcare.
- Working with a women's cooperative.
- Protecting habitat.
- Working with homeless.
- Developing small business enterprise.
- Supporting human rights efforts.
- Working with children.

AIE - Volunteers Program requirement to interns:
- Completed high school.
- Spanish Level: intermediate or advanced level.
- Ability and confidence to interact in a multicultural environment.
- Previous work experience related to your chosen Volunteers Program.

Spanish Language course: IMPORTANT: Participants must complete a minimum of 40 hours of group Spanish course (2 weeks) before taking the position in the Volunteers Program. If participant can't reach the required language level, he will take more weeks of Spanish Language program at our School until achieve a suitable language level.

Duration: From 1 week to one year. No program can exceed 1-year period.

Do I receive a certificate for Volunteers Program? Yes. All completers of Volunteers Program receive a certificate given by the organization.

Once completed a Volunteer program is it possible to do another one? Yes. Each time you complete a volunteer program you can ask to apply to another one. You don't need to take any Spanish Language Program after your first Volunteers Program.

We do not charge any extra fee for Volunteer programs. Students have to take a minimum of 2 weeks of Spanish course. This way we can guarantee an acceptable Spanish language level.

ENROLLMENT PROCESS:
Applicants have to follow these steps:

2.- Send us an e-mail with your resume (CV) to info@patagoniaspanish.com

On your application you should describe what kind of work you are interested in doing. In Buenos Aires we are in contact with many volunteer organizations who will find the best volunteer placement for you.
Application is open to all based on stated criteria, but applicants are evaluated as to maturity, motivation, skills, responsibility, expectations and cultural sensitivity.

3.- You will receive an e-mail with the bookings for the Spanish course and accommodation. This e-mail will contain payment procedures.

4.- As soon as we receive your payment, we confirm all your bookings for Spanish language course and accommodation, and we will send all your information to the Volunteers Organizations, so as soon as you arrive in Buenos Aires you can contact them for your volunteer placement.
