We offer a part-time working experience in a community service project. You can combine a Spanish language program with volunteer work. We offer you the opportunity to delve into our country on a deeper level than most tourists will ever experience.

AIE - Volunteers Program in different spheres of vocational activities including:
- Promoting healthcare.
- Working with a women's cooperative.
- Protecting habitat.
- Working with homeless.
- Developing small business enterprise.
- Supporting human rights efforts.
- Working with children.

AIE - Volunteers Program requirement to interns:
- Completed high school.
- Spanish Level: high intermediate or advanced level.
- Ability and confidence to interact in a multicultural environment.
- Previous work experience related to your chosen Volunteers Program.
- Important: Valid International Health Insurance (local companies and organizations do not accept interns without a health insurance).

Spanish level required: Upper Intermediate Level, verified in an evaluation test at your arrival. Some organizations and companies require an Advanced Spanish level.

Spanish Language course: Participants must complete a minimum of 40 hours of group Spanish course before taking the position in the Volunteers Program. If participant can't reach the required language level, he will take more weeks of Spanish Language program at our School until achieve a suitable language level.

Duration: From 8 weeks to one year. All position requires a minimum commitment of 8 weeks. No program can exceed 1-year period.

Do I receive a certificate for the AIE - Volunteers Program? Yes. All completers of AIE - Volunteers Program receive a certificate given by the organization.

Once completed a Volunteer program is it possible to do another one? Yes. Each time you complete a volunteer program you can ask to apply to another one. You don't need to take any Spanish Language Program after your first Volunteers Program.

ENROLLMENT PROCESS:
Applicants have to follow these steps:
1.- You have to complete the online application form (click here).
2.- Send us an e-mail with your resume to info@patagoniaspanish.com

On your application you should describe what kind of work you are interested in doing. We will arrange your volunteer placement based on your skills, preferences and experience.
Application is open to all based on stated criteria, but applicants are evaluated as to maturity, motivation, skills, responsibility, expectations and cultural sensitivity.

3.- You will receive an e-mail with the confirmation that we have companies and organizations related to the field of your interest for your requested dates, as well as the bookings for your Spanish course and accommodation. This e-mail will contain payment procedures.

4.- As soon as we receive your payment, we will search for specific volunteer positions in different places according to your field of interest, and you will receive an e-mail with the information about different placements available (this information will be provided between 30 and 60 days after your payment), so you can choose the best and suitable option for you. For each student we search for the best volunteer positions in different places according to the particular needs of the student. We offer an individual process for each student. This way you will have the best volunteer program.

Important: we only start the searching process after we can confirm we have companies and organizations related to the field of your interest (step 3) and after we receive your payment. This way we can search for specific volunteer positions.

You will receive pre-departure information and full details about your volunteer. This way you will have clear expectations: your work and responsibilities will be clear and well defined.

All programs include:
- 8 to 52 weeks of Volunteer placement: you can choose the number of weeks.
- Certificate of your volunteer work; volunteer program development and coordination by our staff; on-site preparations, team-building sessions, interviews; orientation materials of the host community, our culture, history and customs; constant and permanent support and supervision by our coordinator during your whole stay, on-site consultants, evaluation of volunteers about their experiences.
- Registration fee for Spanish course: all materials and books for your Spanish course, placement test for your Spanish course, weekly evaluations, certificate and diploma of Spanish language, weekly private meeting with our Pedagogical Advisor, broad band-high speed Internet, discount card in many associated business/shops, 1 Tango / Salsa class, 1 cultural activity in Buenos Aires, 1 tourist guide workshop in Buenos Aires, no-limit free cafeteria during your Spanish classes, orientation package.
