We offer a Medical Spanish program for healthcare professionals. Medical Spanish program is geared towards students who have reached Intermediate level of Spanish command. Modalty: one-to-one classes. The contents focused in this course are the ones related to speaking, listening, reading and writting. Requirement: at least Intermediate level of Spanish (you can take group classes to reach the Intermediate level).

We offer a Medical Spanish program, one in where we train you to use your Spanish in the Spanish Medical world. Our Medical Spanish program is focused to healthcare professionals: doctors, medical advisors, medical practitioners and Emergency Medicine physician residents, nurses, medicine students, and all people in the health sector. Several years of experience have led AIE teachers to produce a specialised Medical Spanish program offering language skill development for physicians, doctors and nurses enabling them to better communicate in Spanish regarding diagnosis, symptoms, treatments, etc.

Learning goals: our Medical Spanish Program enables healthcare professionals to understand and communicate in their work environment, understand Spanish vocabulary related to healthcare, master grammar structures and functional basics, and have a better idea about the Spanish healthcare system in Argentina. The contents focused in this program are the ones related to speaking, listening, reading and writing in the healthcare sector in Argentina.

Listening and Speaking:
- Listening and Speaking in interviews.
- Respond questions in an interview situation
- Relate experiences.
- Expose to an Auditory.
- Listen stories.
- Give and interpret instructions.

Reading:
- Locate specific information.
- Identify arguments and author opinions.
- Work in your own understanding process of reading distinguishing what is understood and what is not understood.
- Comment the information.
- To confront different interpretations.
- Establish relationships among different passages of the text appealing to the connectors and the punctuation.
- To establish relationships among the text information and your previous knowledge from the topic.

Writing:
- Write letters or formal e-mails to be presented, request information, complain or to respond complaints and birdcalls, reports and instructions. Students should:
- to evaluate the addressee;
- adjust the written text to the format;
- revise the text;
- consult with other readers during the writing process and on the final revision;
- revise the spelling during the final revision using the orthographic corrector, the dictionary or other written sources.

Reflection about our language:
- Words formation: suffixes and prefixes.
- Use the monolingual dictionary in Spanish.
- Words derivations: lexical relationships.

Interview dramatization, instructions and explanations to patients, texts linked with local problems of regional health and pathologies (habitually consulted in hospital services or emergency services), clinical records. Local study topics and and linguistic reflection activities.
