placement is a custom designed program at a company to suit
your specific needs. We will design an internship to give you
the experience that you require.
What is an internship?
An internship is a temporary period of time spending at
working in an organization or company in a position related
to the areas of Business, Communications, Education, Medicine,
Arts and Humanities, etc. All of the internships are non-paid
because no working visa is required.
AIE
Internship Program provides practical experiences in a work-based
settings and develop new skills as well as self-confidence.
Each program includes intensive Spanish language training and
an internship that are both tailored according to the specific
needs and expectations of each respective applicant. Program
start dates are generally available on a year round basis. We
will place you according to your needs and expectations.
We
offer a wide variety of placement categories and prospective
career fields from which to choose. Most popular fields (but
not limited to the following fields): Marketing, EFL, Informational
Technology and Web Design, Finance, Law, Journalism, Business
Administration, Engineering, Import-Export, Hospitality, Tourism
, Design, Medicine, Graphic Arts, Advertising, International
Relations, Education, non-profit organizations, Humanitarian
Organizations, among many more. Many more areas of placements
are available upon request.
AIE
Internship Program requirement to interns:
- Completed high school.
- Spanish Level: high intermediate or advanced level.
- Ability and confidence to interact in a multicultural environment.
- Previous work experience or study related to your chosen internship
program.
- Important: Valid International Health Insurance (local companies
and organizations do not accept interns without a health insurance).
Placement within a company or organization
in Argentina will be based on the following factors:
1.- Your Spanish language level: all placements require
a minimum level of proficiency: Upper Intermediate Level, verified
in an evaluation test at your arrival. Some organizations and
companies require an Advanced Spanish level.
2.- Your past relevant experience and study: some placements
do not require any past experience but many require some formal
training, university level study or previous professional experience.
3.- The length of time you will be working with the placement
company: generally speaking, the longer your internship
placement lasts, the better the placement as the company knows
you will be there longer and therefore they will provide more
responsibility. All positions require a minimum commitment of
8 weeks.
4.- The experience you wish to gain from your internship
as described in your application form. Please be honest and
specific with this section of the application.
Spanish Language course: Participants must complete a minimum
of 40 hours of group Spanish course before taking the position
in the Internship Program. Spanish level required for all Internship
placements: Upper Intermediate Level. If participant can't reach
the required language level, he will take more weeks of Spanish
Language program at our School until achieve a suitable language
level.
Internship´s
duration: All position require a minimum commitment of 8
weeks. No internship can exceed 1 year period. Your internship
will vary in length depending on the program you choose and
the professional experience you expect to gain while in Argentina.
Once
completed an internship is it possible to do another one?
Absolutely. Each time you complete an internship you can ask
to apply to another internship program. You don't need to course
any Spanish Language Program after your first internship program.
Do
I receive a certificate for the AIE Internship Program?
Yes. All completers of AIE Internship Program receive a certificate
as well as an objective report by their employer. The participants
are guaranteed a statement of reference from the company upon
completion of the program.
We
monitor the intern's progress for the duration of the program.
ENROLLMENT PROCESS:
Applicants
have to follow the steps:
1.- You have to complete the online application form (click

2.- Send us an e-mail with your resume to info@patagoniaspanish.com
On
your application you should describe what kind of work you are
interested in doing. It is important to note that you should
have some experience, either academic or professional, in the
placement area for which you are applying. We will arrange your
internship placement based on your skills, preferences and experience.
You will have the most suitable placement for you and your expectations.
Application is open to all based on stated criteria, but applicants
are evaluated as to maturity, motivation, skills, responsibility,
expectations and cultural sensitivity.
3.-
You will receive an e-mail with the confirmation that we have
companies and organizations related to the field of your interest
for your requested dates, as well as the bookings for your Spanish
course and accommodation. This e-mail will contain payment procedures.
4.-
As soon as we receive your payment, we will search for specific
internship placements in different companies according to your
field of interest, and you will receive an e-mail with the information
about different placements available (this information will
be provided between 30 and 60 days after your payment), so you
can choose the best and suitable option for you. For each student
we search for the best internship placement in different companies
according to the particular needs of the student. We offer an
individual process for each student. This way you will have
the best internship placement.
Important: we only start the searching process after we can
confirm we have companies and organizations related to the field
of your interest (step 3) and after we receive your payment.
This way we can search for specific internship placements.
You will receive pre-departure information and full details
about your internship placement. This way you will have clear
expectations: your work and responsibilities will be clear and
well defined.
